Mr. Spurlin is a lifetime resident of southeast Michigan (except for his service in the U.S. Army).  A proud graduate of Michigan Technological University and the Michigan State University-Detroit College of Law (Cum Laude).  Mr. Spurlin became a member of the State Bar of Michigan in 1996 and has concentrated his legal career on debt relief and bankruptcy and is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.

As the father of five, Mr. Spurlin understands the financial pressures on families.  Mr. Spurlin's legal career follows many years as a consultant working for both small- and medium-sized businesses. As such, he is very familiar with the difficulties faced by business owners.
